About Paul
Paul Tucci attended his first yoga class in1996 and has been hooked ever since.
A driving force in his commitment to yoga was his experience with chronic back pain, and by 2003 he found himself practicing on a regular basis. Utilizing the strict alignment principles of Iyengar yoga he noticed that his sacrum area & lumbar spine had started to loosen and his back pain lessened. He discovered the power of deep breath connected with movement, and the mindfulness of the practice.
Not
long after this revelation, he started practicing Vinyasa Flow yoga classes with some of the best teachers in San Francisco, including Joy
Ravelli, Rusty Wells, Janet Stone, & Les Leventhal. And eventually was led to his first yoga
teacher training with Ana Forrest. His weeks in the Forrest Yoga teacher training were a
journey into a bold and beautiful new experience. Life seemed more in
focus, and he began to feel more aware of both himself and of others.
Paul recently completed a teacher training with Erich Schiffman in Santa Monica, CA.
Paul enjoys guiding students into an exploration of the union of the breath, the mind, and the physical body. He is most interested in yoga's power to heal, to help folks look & feel better, and to give people a sense of calm and confidence.
